Triumfalnyye Vorota (triumph gate) rocks

Triumfalnyye Vorota (triumph gate) is the name of two rocks that are located in a narrow lower part of Geyzernaya river canyon. These picturesque rocks were also referred to as "gate to the Valley of Geysers" or "lower gate".

Before the 2007 landslide the height of rocks was 35 meters. During the landslide these rocks significantly slowed down the strength of the debris flow, but themselves were almost completely covered in landslide deposits. Currently Geyzernaya River course runs between the rocks as before, but their height is only 15 meters.

From geological standpoint, Triumfalnyye Vorota is a levee that has been cut through by the river.
